Around The Blogs (Living With War)
Sep. 16th, 2006 07:41 pmOnce again, the blogosphere has absences of note rather than presences. Pommo (http://dpommo.blogspot.com/) hasn't posted since the end of July, and neither has the Camel (http://www.camelpoker.blogspot.com/). The rumours are that The Camel is just caking it up at Pokerstars, so why should he bother with the riff-raff of the real poker world? And, of course, I would probably do the same. Winning at poker without having to mix with poker types is definitely the best way to go about things (I exclude from this all thinking poker bloggers, of course).
Many of the bloggers are in Barcelona for the EPT. Jan of 50 outs (http://50outs.blogs.com/poker/) reports that partner Katja went out in 89th, while Phil Ivey has made a sterling recovery. I notice that he made an all-in move when short-stacked with K6 off, a hand that is in danger of being dominated. Perhaps he assumes that he will be called by Ax but not hands like K7 to KT. I'll remember that one if ever I come up against him the the WSOP.
Yeah, right
