Weighty matters

It's all very well putting this down to "extra muscle", but I suspect that it might be more a case of excess chocolate biscuit and Doner retention (as opposed to excess Donna retention, which would be another matter entirely).
So, more salads in the evening, a more disciplined approach to gym attendance and, quite probably, a right grumpy old Birks for a couple of weeks. But it's worth it just to be able to get one more notch off the belt.
The flat is up for sale again next door. I think that they put it on the market at somewhere in the low 190s a few months ago. I didn't think that it would sell at that price, despite the rather attractive roof garden. Now it's back on the market at £180k, which I reckon is just about right.
But, hell, it is minuscule. 600 square feet or thereabouts. Makes my 1100 square feet seem positively palatial.
Anyway, Winkworth kindly put a floorplan up on the web, which indicates that the room next to this office is the kitchen. By my calculation this means that I can play my music as loud as I like anywhere in the house with little danger of anyone hearing it, provided the couple downstairs are not at home. If and when they sell up and if and when I buy them out, I'll be able to play the stereo loud enough to bounce me around the room like a ping pong ball.
Winkworth also followed the standard tactic of putting my house in the photo of the house next door, mainly because my house is pretty and the house next door is plug-ugly. See below. Clearly the plan is to make the potential buyer think that they are buying a flat in my house (elegant porch, refined, new roof) rather than next door (1960s porch, shit red-brick wall, looks like a housing association place).
The office is moving people's seating this morning, so we are not allowed in before 11am. I expect that I will have an entertaining tale or two about this tomorrow.
