Write a song 1,000 seconds long
Apr. 28th, 2006 08:31 amWe're off to Brighton tomorrow, gathering like middle-aged hordes for a childish jamboree on the train, followed by pier-walking and meals. Perhaps even a bit of vidding.
Today, being my effective end of the month, consists of all those horrible administrative things that are a pain to do and which are easy to let slide. In fact, I think that most of the other people in the office do let them slide. Bleeah.
I had a near-entertaining typographical error earlier in the week. Dutch-Belgian financial services group Fortis nearly sneaked through as Butch-Belgian financial services group Fortis.
This was almost on a par with the term "cat modeller" which, in insurance terms, means catastrophe risk modeller. Unfortunately it came through as "cat yodeller". Not what we meant at all.
Clearly the only way to guarantee that a football game will be entertaining is for me not to watch it. Having achieved two nil-nil draws on consecutive nights, I caught up with some reading last night, thus missing Middlesbrough's performance of Lazarus II, this time it's personal.
Got shat on at $3-$6 on Ultimate for half an hour this morning. $3-$6 really is a bit of a nemesis for me at the moment. Not sure why. I just kept missing things or, when I hit, someone in the blinds had sneaked a two-pair better than mine. Annoying.
Next month will be $3-$6 and above all round (although on UB and Virgin I might have to settle for some $2-$4 simply because of the paucity of games), so I'd better get the hang of it fast.
I e-mailed Virgin about the bloggers' tournament. They've failed to e-mail me back (again). Not only is the software shite, but their customer service is as well. Only fifty bucks of the bonus to clear, thank gawd. I see that Absolute is offering a massive deposit bonus now as well. Could be worth a go.
