Arthur Lee has died of leukaemia, as the excesses of the 1960s continue to catch up with the music stars of the time. Forever Changes was one of my favourite albums of the early 1970s, and I still play it relatively frequently today. In a way, I suspect the album was a result of good fortune as much as genius. Nothing else produced by Love or by Arthur Lee came anywhere near it.

Working off the bonus at Full Tilt is handicapped by the fact that I suspect I am now the suckiest-bad player at $1-$2 limit in the universe. Luckily I've got a bit of it back at $2-$4, but that and the bonus generated haven't covered the amount lost at $1-$2. Ahh well, if you are going to run bad at anything for a while, it's better that it's $1-$2 than $5-$10. I'm still trying to work out how you can lose $80 over three hours at just two tables against weak-tight players, but I seemed to manage it.

Gryko is still there at the WSOP, about 25th out of 450 with 450K chips. They play down to 300 today, although I suspect they may play down to about 250. Kevin O'Donnell and Gary Jones are also trucking along. There was an interesting tale about events around the bubble. Someone bashed in their cash with three sixes on a flop of A-6-5, and opponent showed his three Aces. Needless to say, a six came on the turn. You never get that kind of madness online. Fixed, I tell you. The three Aces guy had probably cashed out at the Blackjack earlier in the week, and the aces was how the Rio got back at him. Don't mock. This cashout curse at the casinos is real.
