So, I'm 10,000 hands in with the No Limit transition. What are the experiences so far?

1) $50 buy-in plays with about the same variance as $1-$2 limit, and the quality of play is somewhere between 50c-$1 and $1-$2 limit.

2) I'm doing best at Party (11 big blinds per 100) and worst at Stars (minus 1BB per 100). All sites are within realms of wide variance, given the SD of about 40 big blinds per 100.

3) As usual, 90% of all advice is shit. This is quite simply because most of my opponents are regular low-level grinders rather than drunken weekend-evening donators. I adapted my style accordingly. The downside of this is that Friday night is my worst period. I must learn to adapt back quickly for when the really bad players are out in force.

4) I've only made one what I would term a "bad" call for all my stack (I am sitting down with the maximum buy-in each time), which just goes to show that, despite the weakness of the opposition late on Friday night, this is no use when you yourself are knackered after a hard week's work. It's better to play tough opponents (for the level) when you are awake, than to play weak opponents when you are tired.

5) I've been mainly four-tabling. I thought that multi-tabling would be harder at no limit than at limit, but for some reason it seems easier. Perhaps that's partly because I'm playing against (comparatively) weaker opposition than I was beginning to find at $2-$4 and $3-$6.

6) I'm going to give it to the end of the month, and if my win rate continues at these stakes, I'll move up to $100 buy-ins for June

7) I must remind myself that May is traditionally my best month of the year.
