May. 15th, 2009 06:22 pmHere's a hurriedly pasted htm table (i.e., it only took me half an hour !)
The first table shows pairs 2s to 6s when either open-raised in early/mid-position or when a single limper is raised.
The second table, a necessarily smaller sample, shows what happens when those cards get to showdown.
What I ought to do is also post what happens with Aces in a similar scenario. But it's such a hassle to do that I think I would lose the will to live if I had to do it tonight. By the way, below is a straight "cut and paste" from the htm as web page. You can see how well that works:

In response to Matt's comments, here's a table for hands that did not go to showdown. Obviously a large percentage of the time, I have not hit my set here, but often I will not be OOP (my only opponents will either be the blinds or the original limper). With the right flop (and/or turn) you can play the board and your range rather than your actual hand.
Not sure why the numbers of hands don't quite match (the pairs of 4s appears to have missed off a site somewhere?). I thought that I had put in the same filters.
