Away From The Numbers

Some snippets from today:
When I am at the gym, I have daytime TV on in front of me. This is often Tricia or Richard "Wank" Wright. Question. Why are all the people on Tricia fat?
Anyway, in the break, there was an advert for "SqueezeMe". This kind of pillow was clearly the Tension Sheet under any other name (see Red Dwarf, er, series 3, I think). How can it fail?
Strange quirks of English:
There was a sign outside a sandwich shop on Eastcastle Street today. "Any pint of milk, 40p". This was a neat piece of incongruity. I mean, you could say "any item, 50p", or even "any book, 50p", but not "any pint of milk, 40p". However, I can see where they are coming from.
It's a bit like that Chinese restaurant on, I think, Lisle Street, that used to have the sign "we do not take all credit cards".
I'm currently exercising extreme patience in the Stan James $25 tourney. Down to 2,205 from 2,500 start after an hour's play. Highest hand, Queens, which I laid down to a raise and reraise. (Reraiser had Kings. Good call!).
Will I be able to let myself be worn down to the felt? Who knows. Just passed QJ off on the button with no previous callers. That was hard enough.
