(I would raise 3x here nearly all the time, but I had just raised the previous two hands and won without a showdown, so I'm seriously risking a reraise if I raise a third time on the spin. Hence the limp.)

Hamie_1 bets [$11.00 USD]
(This is probably a big overpair such as QQ or KK. Hamie makes the classic mistake of not reraising with KK and 'waiting to see if an Ace flops'. He's even worse with QQ and JJ. His lead-out eliminates a flopped straight (he wouldn't be in here with 74 anyway) or a set. 44 is a minor possibility, but QQ or perhaps KK are still my favourite reads here.)
Hero calls [$11.00 USD]
(The key play).
samsam433 raises [$69.65 USD]
Hamie_1 calls [$58.65 USD]
(Hamie's calling again. But in a way it's reasonable enough. He can't think that I'm lying in wait, and samsam could bet here with a weaker overpair.)

The key takeaway from this hand is the reason for my reraise. I've not committed myself by putting this amount of money in and, against this particular player, my reraise forces him to take an action that seriously narrows his range. In other words, my reraise makes it very easy to make the right decision. A reraise out of position is still okay against this kind of player, because they will always put in an extra bet with AA. But against tricky players, I like the reraise with position more than I do out of position (OOP). KK in either blind against a full stack or thereabouts is always difficult unless opponent is a nutter. It really depends on opponent's raising percentage, but if he's a standard 17/12, you are going to find yourself in a tricky position at least some of the time whether you flat call or reraise. And the standard "bigger reraise when OOP" doesn't really solve it. Best is having a third player around to give you some protection.
