Played a little PLO while relaxing in front of the TV last night. Watched Messiah. Utter tosh but very enjoyable. Actually got to write about casinos in the newsletter (the Biloxi casino "boats" floating away) and subsequently another part of the office asked me to write a longer piece. Freelancing within my own office :-) Star stuff. Knee began to hurt a bit again today in gym, not the tendon this time, but the cartilage. Kept away from "my" computer for 24 hours (didn't even turn it on). I should do that more often. Oh well, DIY beckons. Keeps me occupied, I suppose.

I like that suggestion of a martial art. Tae Kwon Do (is that the one with the sticks?) always appealed. Perhaps because of the game/sport in The Prisoner.

Odds that this event brings home the stupidity of forcing the casinos out onto the waters?

Floating casinos

Fairly short odds, I should think. This is costing Mississippi $500,000 a day in state revenues (not counting the multiplier effectof people now out of a job, and of other tourist revenue unspent). The casinos were 10% of Mississippi's state budget. And the casinos have been pushing for years to get this farcical law changed. Now that the absolute insanity of it has been highlighted (and it's not as if the state didn't get advance warning, what with Ivan last year and Dennis earlier this) I think that when the rebuilding starts, the casinos will be safely on dry land.

I'm not familiar with that many, but I'd not want to advocate the one I undertake simply because I do it. Folk from all walks of life turn up and get appear to get a great deal out of it. Sincerely, I believe it would help you, it will add a whole new dimension to your life.
