No of course Upper Class isn't 'worth it'. The marginal benefits you get over Bog Standards are very definite and I envy you that. The additonal cost though exceeds the true values of the plus points. But then I'm seeing as a value thing in and of itself. You aren't buying the seat with money that could otherwise be paying the mortgage or buying bread. You're buying it with the top slice of your income and that isn't worth quite so much as the lower slices of money.
But given that the money involved would buy you a week's hols in the Cote d'Azur, I know which my choice would be.
