I give Tesco better than even odds in the United States. Most people dislike going to supermarkets and nobody has any loyalty to the mainstream companies.
The better supermarkets are niche and fun (Trader Joe's) or niche and upmarket (Whole Foods - aka "Whole Paycheck").
If Tesco can combine cheap and fun, it could clean up in the States. Virgin Atlantic has cornered the market for cheap and fun in transatlantic flights. Maybe a bit of that British flair could help Tesco?
I came across your Blog by mistake, well okay I did google your name for some unaccountable reason (too much alcohol and nicotine methinks). I would say nice blog but I have no interest in either financial journalism or poker but I do remember you from way back when and its still great reading your stuff(I even remebered when you hand-cranked Greatest Hits)
Which would be great, but this is the online equivalent of meeting someone at a party whom you apparently met 25 years previously, and you have absolutely no idea who they are.
A GH reader from the (very) early days, but not into poker? That should cut it down. Clearly one of the Diplomacy fanatics, and also someone who went to cons, or was related to the old "hard core" (if the "Brix" is anything to go by). Apart from that, who knows? Reveal yourself, sir!
