FISH raises [$8 USD]
HERO raises [$24 USD]
Fish is quite laggy. Not many hands that I cold call with here (perhaps Aces or Kings with a real lag behind me or an inveterate squeezer in the blinds), so the choice is either fold or reraise.

VILLAIN calls [$22 USD]
For some of the reasons set out above, I don't think that cold calls are that good here. However, there is perhaps an argument that if Fish cold calls, he (Villain) is protected against me. I think there are flaws in this line of thought, but quite a few people hold to it

FISH calls [$16 USD]
About $70 in the pot
** Dealing Flop ** [ J◊;, A♡;, 9♠ ]
As flops go, this is AGAIG (as good as it gets)

HERO bets [$40 USD]
Nothing controversial about this. I'm looking/hoping for AJ suited on my left and Ace-rag on my right
VILLAIN calls [$40 USD]
If villain has JJ or AA, I'm going broke here and it’s a case of WP, reload.
$190 or so in the pot.
FISH calls [$40 USD]
** Dealing Turn ** [ 6◊; ]
VILLAIN checks
FISH checks
HERO bets [$100 USD]
I'm putting in about half the fish's stack here, because that often elicits a "fuck it, I'm all-in" play from fish.
VILLAIN raises [$203 USD]
That's an odd raise. Why not shove? I presume that he's doing it to try to extract value from the Fish. Here's another paradox. Even though a shove or a raise to $200 means exactly the same for the Fish, because he only has $200 left, you are more likely to get a call by betting the smaller amount. Go figure.
FISH is all-In [$202.34 USD]
HERO raises [$206 USD]
I'm not going anywhere except to the end of the line.
VILLAIN is all-In [$97.09 USD]
** Dealing River ** [ J♡; ]
HERO shows [ 9♣;, 9◊; ]a full house, Nines full of Jacks.
VILLAIN doesn't show [ A◊;, K◊; ]two pairs, Aces and Jacks.
FISH doesn't show [ T♣;, Q♠ ]a pair of Jacks.
HERO wins $5.91 USD from the side pot 2 with a full house, Nines full of Jacks.
HERO wins $195.50 USD from the side pot 1 with a full house, Nines full of Jacks.
HERO wins $799.52 USD from the main pot with a full house, Nines full of Jacks.
Which makes the grand sum of $1,024, my first four-figure pot. Of course, I only won $624, so the next stepping stone/target is the pot where I actually win four figures.
The above is a good example of remembering to say "I was lucky". Being "lucky" doesn't just consist of sucking out on people. It also consists of your good hands holding up when you are only 66% favourite. A perpetual bleat of weak-tight players is the sound of their moans when their Aces lose to AK (mainly because they are only ever in the hand with Aces) , while they conveniently forget the times when opponent fails to hit his flush or straight. Those wins, because they are odds-on, are merely "just and proper".
