I don't think that I have ever been on holiday in the past five years without getting a cold at some point. And, here it is again. After getting back from the bloggers' tourney (53rd of 107, not much to report except that I went out on A2s vs KJs) I went to sleep and when I woke up, I seriously thought of staying in bed.

I manfully dragged myself to the Bellagio and began to feel a bit better. Six hours play for $70. Almost the equivalent of a breakeven. It's when this happens that you are tempted to move up in stakes, because so little seems to be happening, and yet it seems quite easy. I won five pots in those six hours, I think. All very uneventful with no points where I felt I missed a bet, or wasted any cash.

It was slightly hampered by me feeling under the weather and, for two hours, having a mad woman behind me on the rail. Oh, and some dreadful dealing. One guy was allowed to play with his chips in the rack for "one last hand" for two whole rounds. Another dealer began to chop a board of AKK88 when one player showed A3 and the other showed AQ. Go figure.

Padraig Parkinson made a brief appearance, but the others all fly in tomorrow.

Oh, and of the three games in Bobby's room, one had Chan, Chau Giang, Doyle, Greenstein and Farha.

Harman was at one of the other tables. No Hellmuth, no Hansen. No comment.

Met Michael Craig this morning and had a chat about his Andy Beal book. Nice guy. Nolan Dalla, Greenstein, Charlie Shoten also in attendance.
