Not much

Played a little PLO while relaxing in front of the TV last night. Watched Messiah. Utter tosh but very enjoyable. Actually got to write about casinos in the newsletter (the Biloxi casino "boats" floating away) and subsequently another part of the office asked me to write a longer piece. Freelancing within my own office :-) Star stuff. Knee began to hurt a bit again today in gym, not the tendon this time, but the cartilage. Kept away from "my" computer for 24 hours (didn't even turn it on). I should do that more often. Oh well, DIY beckons. Keeps me occupied, I suppose.

I like that suggestion of a martial art. Tae Kwon Do (is that the one with the sticks?) always appealed. Perhaps because of the game/sport in The Prisoner.

Just to show that I am not the type to hide my face from the grizzly stuff, here's the month's figures.

BTW Mike, I've had some thoughts about how to convert the Excel stuff into HTML, but it's messy. Basically you use the macro (or parts thereof) that I sent you, which converts from Excel to raw HTML. You then open that HTML in Word and run a Word macro on it which looks for the minus figure. When it finds a minus figure, it "steps back in time" to find the "td" code before that minus figure. It then pastes in the bgcolor="#FF0000" directly after the td code. It then searches for the next minus figure, and repeats the process. This gives you a customised red figure, but does not delete the minus sign.

You then close the file (saving it as a text file) and repopen int in Notepad. Strip out the crap, and you have a nice HTML table.

Well, I said it was messy. But it's quicker than doing it manually.

Not much to be said, really. A sea of red, but somehow I still managed to end up in profit on Party on the month (not that we are counting months any more :-). The Betfair numbers really are a bit of an anomaly -- I've won so much on that site in the last year (given how few hours I have played on it seriously) that a couple of hours' nightmare in a good game are going to wreck any figures.

I still need a break. I think I shall just play out the bonus on Party this month. In fact, I might go on a bonus hunting foray.
